Thank you for your interest in SMC Penang's School of Frontier Missions! Before applying we ask that you read through our Mission Statement and Strategic Objectives so that you better understand who we are. As you consider whether this is a ministry you would like to be involved with, we encourage you to seek God's guidance through prayer, Bible study, and counsel from your pastor, mature Christian friends, and family.
SMC Penang'S MISSIONS STATEMENT
SMC Penang is a multi-cultural missions community discipling believers to disciple nations.

  SMC Penang is a multi-cultural missions community living in a mentoring environment with a common passion to reach Asia for Christ.
  SMC Penang disciples believers to know God, their identity in Christ, and His transforming work of grace so that they think and act biblically in every sphere of life.
  SMC Penang disciples the nations by training and sending leaders, teachers, and church-planters to influence all areas of society with the gospel.
SMC Penang'S STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. Training and Equipping of Believers

In order to better equip those called to the mission field we value training. We strive to facilitate continual learning in both staff and students by offering a variety of courses, all with the goal of sending out qualified missionaries into Asia and beyond.

2. Target Nations

In an effort to increase effectiveness in our ministry we have adopted the concept of "targeting". Currently we are focusing on Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal/North India, China, and Vietnam as our target nations. We are partnering with YWAM and other ministries in these nations by building relationships, sending outreach teams, resources, finances and staff teams to fulfill specific needs in their endeavors to further the Kingdom of God.
If you believe God is clearly leading you to be a part of the School of Frontier Missions here we ask that you submit the following form.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to complete this SoFM application,  you will ALSO need to print out the Confidential Reference Forms, the Confidential Health form and the Release Form.

GUIDE TO COMPLETING THE SoFM APPLICATION
The following items must be submitted before your application for SMC Penang SoFM can be processed. All the questions on the application must be completed. If a question does not apply to you, write N/A (not applicable) in the space provided. Husbands and wives need to complete separate application forms.

1.Application Form: Please provide a detailed answer for each question.

2. Registration Fee: A one-time processing fee of RM 35 ($10 US Dollars) per applicant will be collected upon arrival at SMC Penang. We cannot accept foreign checks.

3. Confidential References: Please complete the top portion of the three confidential reference forms and give them to the appropriate people to complete and return to SMC Penang. Please note the reference forms required for each YWAM school/ministry.

Please ask your references to return the completed forms directly to SMC Penang via e-mail, fax, or post. It is usually helpful to provide each reference with a stamped envelope addressed to the address below.

4. Confidential Health Form: Please fill in the Personal / Family History section of the form and then have your physician complete the Physician's Evaluation section. If you have had a physical examination within the past year you do not need to have another one. Send our medical form to the doctor who performed the physical and ask him/her to complete it according to his/her records.
5. Acknowledgment of Financial Responsibility/Liability Release Form: This form must be signed and returned with the rest of the application.

6. CURRENT PHOTOGRAPH:Passport or wallet sized photos are preferable. If you are emailing your photo, please keep the photo under 500kb.

7. A PASSPORT: Those who do not have a passport should apply for one immediately. If your passport is expiring soon, please renew it before you come. A passport valid for at least six months is required to enter Malaysia.

Please send in your application as soon as possible. The earlier you apply, the easier it is for us to plan as a base and prepare for your arrival. You may return your completed forms to SMC Penang via e-mail, fax, or post. (See the address information below).

Upon receiving all of your forms we will begin the processing of praying throughnd considering your application to join SMC Penang. Please allow four to six weeks for a response to your application.
