YWAM Penang Becomes a Strategic Ministry Centre PDF Print E-mail

For years YWAM Penang has been training Malaysians and those called to the region to send them out into missions in Asia.  Students and staff in each school have been involved in local ministries as well, but we have struggled to fit local outreach into the training structure of our base.

Starting with YWAM International’s 50 Days of Prayer initiatives in 2005, God has spoken to us about changing our organizational structure to sharpen our evangelism and church planting edge.

In partnership with local churches, YWAM Penang is now pioneering local ministries focused on transforming the city and the nations.  Our training is increasingly feeding into these ministries, providing a practical outlet for those equipped through our schools.  YWAM Penang’s transition to a strategic ministry centre is bringing evangelism and mercy ministries to the forefront of all that we do.

Our training schools reflect this focus as well, actively involving students in ministry throughout the lecture phase.
