We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational community, comprising of Asian and Western staff, families and singles. If you have completed a DTS and have a desire to serve with us, we welcome you to join our family and enrich YWAM Penang with your presence.

- DTS Staff
- Crossroads DTS Staff
- Office Manager
- IT Staff
- Maintenance Staff
- Kawan staff (including ministry to sex workers, the homeless and addicts--see the Kawan page for more details)
- Refugee Ministry (advocacy work)
- Missions Mobilization (representing YWAM Penang in area churches, conferences, seminars, etc.)
Note: Though English is widely spoken in Malaysia, all long-term staff are encouraged to do language learning (generally means learning Bahasa Malay)
Short Term Opportunities:
Do you have a desire to partner with us as a short term volunteer? We at YWAM Penang welcome you. Please contact us with a list of your gifts and abilities as well as any particular areas where you would like to be involved.
Needs range from the practical (office work and maintenance) to working at the drop in center or joining in migrant workers ministry. Your gifts may be just what we need, so don't hesitate and contact us today!
Outreach Teams:
Outreach teams are very welcome at YWAM Penang. We have opportunities for local evangelism and mercy ministry as well as practical ministry. Teams in the past have worked with campus ministry, painted houses, worked with nearby churches and schools, helped at our drop-in center, and participated in street evangelism.
From two weeks to three months, we can accommodate any length of stay. Please contact us for more information.
