The Biblical Core Course

The Biblical Core Course (BCC) is a 24-week bilingual course offered in both English and Bahasa Indonesia that teaches students how to discern and proclaim the truth within God's Word. Students are equipped in the inductive Bible study method, a tool which empowers students to accurately observe, interpret, and apply Scripture texts in light of their historical, literary, and geographical context. Students can expect to read through the entire Bible, study 16 Old and New Testament books in depth, and learn how to appropriately interpret every genre of biblical literature through the course.

Students are also mentored in the integrating process of discerning, evaluating, and then realigning their foundational values in life and ministry according to what the Holy Spirit is saying to them in their studies. Therefore, even those who may not feel gifted as Bible preachers and teachers receive great benefits from this course in that they are given the skills to continue studying, applying, and passing on the message of God's word as their everyday lifestyle.

Finally, students are trained in the art of teaching in a creative, Bible-centered, and contextualized way as excellent storytellers, actors, preachers, and small group leaders. After being trained, they are released to put what they have learned into practice on a mid-term 4-week outreach in which they facilitate New Testament seminars and a final 8-week outreach in which they coach others in an application-focused, inductive study of portions of Scripture.
