The School of Frontier Missions

They cannot call on Him for salvation because they have not even heard his name. They have not heard because they are out of reach of the gospel message. These "Unreached Peoples" of the frontiers need for us to go.

SMC Penang's School of Frontier Missions (SoFM) trains missionaries for cross-cultural missions service. The SoFM is designed to introduce the biblical and philosophical basis for cross-cultural missions and to provide the practical skills for effective work amongst the unreached. The 12-month course combines a three-month lecture phase with a nine-month field assignment which places students with exi sting church-planting and missions teams. This field assignment enables students to test their calling, develop their skills to live, work, and minister amongst the unreached while discovering their suitability for long-term, cross-cultural missions work.
